The Rachel Carson Digital Library Collection contains photographs and select documents digitized from the Rachel Carson Collection housed in the Chatham College Archives.Throughout her life Rachel Carson was dedicated to Animals and Nature. In this collection you will find images that depict Rachel Carson's childhood at the Carson Homestead in Springdale, Pennsylvania where she lived with her family and attended Springdale Elementary School and Parnassus High School (1907-1924).
